Cron Expression Builder

Build a five-field cron expression and inspect upcoming runs in an explicit IANA timezone.

WORKSPACERuns in your browser
UTC, America/New_York, Europe/London, Asia/Tokyo…

How to use this tool

  1. Use the visual fields or edit an advanced five-field expression.
  2. Choose the timezone used by your scheduler.
  3. Calculate five or ten upcoming dates and review their UTC equivalents.

Check a schedule across a daylight-saving boundary

Preview a daily local-time job using the bundled cron-parser 5.x behavior. Compare UTC instants with the named timezone before configuring your scheduler.

In spring the parser adjusts the missing 02:30 wall-clock time. The fall example checks 01:30 across the repeated hour. These are previews from this parser, not an exactly-once execution guarantee; reproduce them in the scheduler you deploy.

Spring forward: 30 2 * * *

More examples

  • 0 9 * * 1-5 runs at 09:00 Monday through Friday in the selected timezone.
  • */15 * * * * runs every quarter hour.
  • 0 0 29 2 * targets leap days; verify your scheduler’s supported horizon.

Know the limits

Preview uses cron-parser semantics. DST can skip or shift wall-clock times; compare these results with your deployment scheduler. Quartz, seconds and named fields are unsupported.

Common questions

What happens when both day fields are restricted?

This builder uses cron OR semantics: matching either day-of-month or weekday can trigger a run.

Is the preview a hosted scheduler?

No. It only calculates dates in the browser.
